Here at Sharpe Systems, we like to take into account our responsibility to the environment and local community,as well as our clients. The services and products we offer reflect our commitment to the environment and ourability to adapt, to helping our planet in the future.
Products and Services
We offer a remote support service, whereby we can access your computer from our office. This enables us to get our vans off the road, thus lowering transportation by 80%. All of our “Office Pro” PC range runs at less than 20 Watts and amazingly are less than 17dbs.
Recycling
Recycling is another one of our environmental policies, all of our waste cardboard, paper, plastic and ink cartridges are recycled. Any old hardware or computers are auctioned off or are donated to charity. We have a waste recycle pledge to our customers, this policy means we take away any packaging from our customers, that is used by our products and recycle it.
In the office, energy saving lighting and geothermal heating is in place, to reduce our carbon emissions. The lights have motion sensors, as a result if they don’t sense motion they will turn themselves off, thus saving electricity. Our office PCs are turned off at the end of each working day, therefore we do not waste electricity.
TransportOur vehicles have been recently replaced with smaller vans which are more fuel efficient and give off less carbon emissions.
Targets
In the near future, we are looking to offset all of our carbon emissions, thus becoming a carbon neutral company. The future is important to us, everyday new products come on the market and it is our priority to embrace new technology and energy saving techniques, in order to choose the best, most energy efficient products and services for your company. Our aim is to keep down our own carbon emissions and to reduce yours too.
